The Bloomberg Commodity Index (BCOM) is a diversified commodity indicator based on 23 futures across six sectors, designed to reduce concentration risk and used as a benchmark for the global commodity market. In May 2026 the maximum reached 143.14 index points, the minimum was 134.83 index points and the average stood at 139.67 index points. Launched in 1998, the index applies caps on individual commodity and sector weights.
Index value can be retrieved via Cbonds add-in for Excel using the formula CbondsIndexValue(83363, date)
